Marco is an economist with experience in economic modelling and policy support. He works for EuroCARE GmbH (50%) and for other institutions (the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and occasionally the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission). He has worked with several economic models (ESIM, Aglink-Cosimo, CAPRI and single-country computable general equilibrium (CGE) models), as a market expert for cotton and sugar, and conducting project-specific studies (i.e. resilience in the cotton sector in Burkina Faso and in the cocoa sector in Ghana, or studies to Unfair Trading Practices in agricultural global value chains). Marco has been a member of the EuroCARE team since 2022.
