Overview
The project aims to calibrate the CAPRI model to the latest DG Agri baseline which includes Croatia as part of the EU-28 to facilitate calibration work and trade-related policy impact assessments with the CAPRi model.
More concrete objectives are the following:
to be able to adequately simulate market and political effects after the EU enlargement in 2013 with the accession of Croatia
aggregation of the new common market and trade bloc of the EU-28
extending EU Common Agricultural Policy towards Croatia
extending EU biofuels policy towards Croatia
update assumptions for EU baseline sugar policy in relation to the abandonment of sugar quotas before 2020
